The Hungarian Energy Office („MEH“) published on its internet site on 17. May 2010 a statement that it is initiating an investigation into the cooperation between Power Exchange Central Europe, a.s. („PXE“) and EXAA Energy Exchange Austria Abwicklungsstelle für Energieprodukte AG („EXAA“). At the same time, information appeared in several publications that MEH had suspended the validity of the license PXE has for organizing trades in electrical energy. In relation to the above, PXE presents the following statement: The claim made in regard to the suspension of the validity of the license of PXE, which would influence the ability of PXE to organize trades in electrical energy in Hungary, is in no way based on the truth.
According to the decission of the PXE Trading Committee, the number of future products with physical settlement with the place of delivery in the Czech Republic will be diminished and these products will be replaced stepwise by products with financial settlement. There will be traded products with financial settlement for the years 2012 and 2013 starting from tomorrow and further quarterly and monthly products will follow.
Hungarian Energy Office (MEH) published on 17th May 2010 regarding commencement of investigation of cooperation between Power Exchange Central Europe, a.s. („PXE“) and EXAA Energy Exchange Austria Abwicklungsstelle für Energieprodukte AG („EXAA“). This statement was incorrectly interpreted by some media as an announcement on suspension of validity of PXE´s trading license. This statement is not based on truth at all and PXE strongly protests against such interpretation. Such construction seriously damages company´s reputation and its business activities in the whole region of CEE.
